Munro's Profile

I am married, and job share with my husband.  We sell condominiums for a developer - I work 3 days a week and my husband works 4 days a week.  In our spare time, we enjoy movies and travel, but our passion is reading. 

I have 3 grown sons, and 2 grandchildren.

I have been an avid reader since a young girl.  I tend to read new authors I discover, and some of my favorites are Alice Munro (hence my nickname), Mary Karr, Amy Tan, Joyce Carol Oats, and many many more.  I'm also fond of biographies and I particularly like books by writers from India.  The are a fascinating people and one of the best books I've read is "A Fine Balance" by Rohinton Mistry.

Currently I am reading "Tales of a Female Nomad" by RIta Golden Gelman - a totally absorbing book!

I would love to hear from others in the San Diego area that might like to get together for dinner, coffee, book discussions/recommendations, and "Chick Flicks".
